BLACK WEDNESDAY!
Today was no doubt the most MOST MOST unlucky day in my life (as far as i can remember)! Firstly..my patient who was supposed to be discharged was found to be unresponsive at 10.15am..and it all started from there..arent doctors aware of the usage of the CODE BLUE! Dont they know that a CODE BLUE button exists! upon finding the patient unresponsive at 10.15am the M.O. hu happen to be an indian national came running out at me saying (in a very indian and garbled accent) ' sister !sister! we need to resus the pt' (firstly i felt like telling him neither am i your sister nor haf i been promoted to a sister yet) .. i was already so busy and pissed..so i asked him which patient??!! he just kept repeating resus resus..which didnt sound like resus at all! it sound more like resource to Travis who was standing nearby hahah..so i decided to leave him there in his over excited state and go in the room to check it out for myself..i saw the Reg. there and he told me that patient is not responding and for active resus.. so immediately we pushed the AED machine and e-trolley in and started the goingsss..10.30 and already prespiring like shit doing cpr..and the MO couldnt get a plug into patient's veins! omg! and he kept disrupting the CPR..felt like slapping him..so finally the Reg decided to stop resus and pronounce patient dead with coroner case! omg! from tt i knew i wasnt going home early :(
obviously the day was hay-wire already..my changes hanging in the air..patients to discharge..ect...to make things better patient was a LONG STAYER..thats it by the time i finished all the documentation crap, it was already 6.30pm..i was finally happy to leave the ward..waited so long for the bloody cab..got cabbie at 6.45pm..just as i started visualising myself in bed...BANG!!..my stupid taxi met with an accident on the BKE..i was only 10 min from my homeeeeeeee..ooooommmmggg..the cab was smashed infront..the cab driver door couldnt open..it couldnt haf gotten any 'better'..so we had to pull aside for a bit and the cab driver did wateva necessary..no one was hurt.. i got a discounted fare (i guess the only lucky thing tt happen today)..
well..lets fast forward a little bit..i was extremely gladdddddddd to haf finally reached home! Rambo's strawberry kisses were a joy! hahahah..lolx..playing with him felt really good..if i ever haf to write a composition on my most unlucky/memorable day..19/11/2008 would definitely be it!
oh and yes did i mention that my left eye is swollen and itchy like hell becoz i wore expired lenses! yup..so now im in my speckyz wherever i go..BRAVOOO!!
